what should i do? merchant threatening to take me to collection agency?

i went on a program which was 6500 total called natural hair regrowth institute and i would make monthly payements. i was not getting the proper treatment due to poor service. this includes the owner changing dates on me when i would beable to come in interfering with my work schedule. also a staff member refused to do massages at given times. . i wanted to end the program and the owner agreed to end it with a 1000 dollar return to my credit card. This would leave me paying 5000 total not even going half way into the program. i swiped my card got the 1000 receit but this payment never registered to my account. I tryed countless times contacting him, he refused to answer or return my calls or emails. it was at least 1 month and i never got any return to my card so i disputed these charges. now i got the 1000 back and he says if i dont reverse the charges he will send to collection agency and make me pay everything i owe including 33% of lawyer fees which he said would equate to $6000

Contact the better business bureau and see if they have had any other complaints about his business. If so, you might be better able to negotiate.
Read your agreement with him and see what it says, then take it to your attorney and sure him for breach of contract!
And you respond by letting him know that he can anticipate a counter suit for breach and for fraud. When there is a dispute about services, that is what you do. By the way, unless your contract requires attorneys fees, courts will not order it. Tell him to come on down.
IM GOING TO LET U KNOW NOW THAT ALL MERCHANTS CLAIM TO TAKE YOU TO COLLECTIONS AND I WORK FOR A COLLECTION AGENCY AND IT TAKES A GOOD 5 YEARS TO EVEN GET IT ON YOUR CREDIT REPORT AND THAT IS JUST A WAY TO SCARE YOU IN TO PAYING SO DONT PRETTY MUCH WORRY ABOUT IT…BUT YOU SHOULD LOOK INTO IF HE HAS TRYED THAT BEFORE AND COULD POSSIBLY TAKE HIM TO COURT FOR BAD SERVICE…YOU HAVE MANY RIGHTS SO LOOK INTO IT MORE.
