Cant get my security deposit refunded to me?

i signed up for a merchant account and needed to rent 2 wireless credit card machines. The deposit for them was $600. When i was done with the machines i sent them back like instructed and now im getting the run around for the past two months about getting my deposit back. what should i do?

Get a real lawyer to write a “lawyer’s letter.”
Try calling the President of First Data and see if he/she can help.
Start going up the food chain. Go to the boss of the person you have been talking to. If that doesn’t get you anywhere, go to that person’s boss. If you get to a level where you just can’t go any higher, start calling that person every day. If you can get email addresses, start emailing every day. My view is that if a company owes me money and is dragging its feet in repaying it, I am going to harass them until they do.
If that doesn’t work, taking them to small claims court is about the only remedy.
Start a file, have all documents in order. Every ph call when u contact the company, get first & last name, title and employee id numbers. U start creating a log, and letter file. Contact the Better Business Bureau and complain. This could be a scam… at $600 a pop it’s very lucrative for them. Can u show they received the machines? Get a copy of the proof of delivery. Ask for the Dept Manager or Corp officers responsible, once u start acting on the phone/writing u know your consumer rights… u might get their attention. Also tell everyone where u first learned of the company about ur situation. Bad word of mouth will fore warn others. Be clear what u want and when it should be handled.
