Online Merchant - Being billed for Fedex brokerage/custom fees?
Mark O asked:
Hello,
I have a small business as an online merchant. A customer from Canada placed an order for a particular product. Several months later I received a bill from Fedex for brokerage, customs fees etc for about $220. The customer refused to pay the fees therefore I am being charged for them. After doing some reading on their website, I see this in their terms an agreements. I have called Fedex a couple times to see if they could eliminate the fees or reduce them with no such luck. I've said I would cancel my Fedex account and that didn't seem to make a difference. I have tried to find a list of fees/percentage on the website and can't find anything. You would think they would have to list them on their website. Any feedback would be great.

Looks like you are going to have to pay for it, Just don't ship anything to Canada anymore.
